Mitch Rosenfeld, Venture Partner, IP Analytics & Diligence

Mitch Rosenfeld, Venture Partner, has over twenty years of patent experience representing clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to Silicon Valley start-ups. His emphasis is on litigation, portfolio evaluation, complex licensing and sales transactions, and development and implementation of patent licensing campaigns. During his career, Mitch has transacted in excess of $150 million in IP assets. He has been involved in all stages of the patent process from initial invention to patent prosecution to exercising patent rights through licensing, sale and litigation.

Presently, Mitch is focused on patent sale transactions, diligence and valuation, and supports the patent analytics group at Pluritas. Prior to working at Pluritas, Mitch was Vice President, IP Counsel for IPValue Management, whose investors include General Atlantic and Goldman Sachs. In this role he provided a wide range of IP commercialization services to Global 1000 companies related to complex licensing and sales transactions. Before joining IPValue, Mitch was in private practice prosecuting and litigating patents on behalf of patent owners.

Mitch holds a BSc, cum laude, in physics from Duke University and a JD from George Washington University. He is also a member of the California State Bar and is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. In 2011, he was named by Intellectual Asset Management Magazine to the “IAM 250" – The World’s 250 Leading Intellectual Property Strategists.
